JCO's "The Majestic" test screening review

WHOA!!!! Backup, J.T. Carrey was invited to a private screening?? Yup! That's right! I had the opportunity to see "The Majestic" at a private screening November 26th, a month before it hits the theaters! Guys, this movie is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Jim Carrey is amazing, he's believable in his character roles which can be a hard task for actors.

I don't want to be like other reviews and give spoilers, so I'll just say what I think my reaction to the movie is. The movie is not only very emotional but it makes you think. The problem with me was I read all the spoilers (shouldn't have done that) so I knew what was coming up in every scene. It didn't ruin the movie for me however. I don't know what was wrong with that first guy that reviewed this movie but I saw nothing bad about the movie. Is it because I love Jim Carrey? No, of course I love him, but the movie was written well, the chemistry between the actors was splendid, and the soundtrack was beautiful.

Jim sings, dances and plays the piano (better than me) ;-) He has a special glow in his face during the movie too, the kind that makes you wonder, is this guy for real? Throughout the movie you're waiting for him to pull a joke, but he doesn't, small laughs, but every movie needs a little comic affect. You feel for him, you want to hate him in some parts, but most of all you hope for him. You want him to get through his problems without conflict.

The ending is fabulous, if I told it, it would ruin the movie but I was surprised. I guess my fav scene was the HUAC scene (I'm just callin' it that) the court scene, I was watching Jim on Oprah and she talked about the Red Scare and there was one part of footage that was very similar to Jim's scene in the movie.

I think Laurie Holden did a good job. Another scene I love is when Luke goes to the basement of the Majestic, it s just has that Darabont touch to it. If you've never seen any of Frank Darabont's movies, you must, they are all so beautiful.

I was told Jim Carrey was supposed to be at the screening but he didn't come. Frank was there I think though, and maybe a few other actors in the movie. The audience reaction to the movie was outstanding, I was in an audience of age 25 and older (I wasn't supposed to be there) and I heard many of them raving about the movie. I always knew Jim had this in him, he always seemed to have a sensitive side to him, and it really shows in this movie.

More favorite scenes, the whole movie!!! I just love it! It's amazing! I know this is a short review but I don't want to give anything away. WAY TO GO JIM!!!
