Pictures from "The Majestic" sets #8 - The cemetery
17 Apr 2001 This article would perhaps be more fitting for Halloween, but since we're not about to wait that long, here's several photos of the Ferndale cemetery showing the veterans' graves and M.I.A. marker which are part of "The Majestic" sets. The photos were sent in by Ferndale Fritz and David LaRue and illustrate the setting of some of last week's scenes. Ferndale Fritz also sent in another of his informative photo maps showing the relative positions of the other outdoor sets viewed from the higher portion of the cemetery:
First row: Several views of the cemetary set (© David LaRue). Second row: Another view of the veterans' graves and of the town below with the remaining outdoor sets marked (© Ferndale Fritz). |
Related to this is another "Carrey Sighting" story that was e-mailed to us last week by Lonnell Cook and that we transcribed below:
«My brother in Law meet him working as a security guard at the movie set for "The Majestic" in Ferndale CA. They had him off guarding the town cemetary and here comes Jim walking with guards to the cemetary to film a scene. He walked by and said a few nice words than went on to film the scene. The guards would not let him do pictures or autographs. Maybe he'll get another chance, he guards there every day!»
-- With a million thanks to David LaRue and Ferndale Fritz for the photos and to Lonnell Cook for the "sighting". Click to comment this article.
