Best of 2021: Award Shows
29 Dec 2021 By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)
With the pandemic of Covid-19, many awards ceremonies were cancelled, postponed or chance to fit the restrictions and rules of 2021. Yet, we were able to see Jim Carrey in two of those awards ceremonies during the year.
On Sunday, January 10th, the first ever Critics Choice Super Awards ceremony, took place. It was done virtually due to covid-19. Jim Carrey was nominated for an award for "Sonic the Hedgehog" for Best Villain in a Movie and he WON!
Jim recorded a video to thank the award, here is a photo:
Then, later on the year, December 9th, both Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz presented the first trailer for the upcoming movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" at the Game Awards ceremony. The show was not done virtually but while Ben showed up physically, Jim Carrey sent another video, take a look at it here:
Even though we didn't get to see much of Jim Carrey this year, we are looking forward to 2022 and all the interviews of promotion for Sonic 2 where we will get a chance to see him more.
We at JCO will keep you updated as more news come.
