Best of 2016: True Crimes

We at JCO keep going with our countdown for the best of 2016 regarding Jim Carrey.
In November 7, 2015, the movie "True Crimes" begun production in Poland, where majority of the movie was filmed. This is a return for Jim doing a thriller since 2007 when he first did the genre through "The Number 23".
The shooting lasted 6 weeks with director Alexandros Avranas and a few Polish actors were also part in it since the movie is a USA-Polish collaboration.
"True Crimes" is 1 hour and 40 minutes (100 minutes long and had its worldwide premiere at the Warsaw Film Festival on October 12, although Jim wasn't able to attend.
The movie synopsis:
"In the south-western end of the Polish far from civilization Odra sharp turn, forming a bay. Its edges are overgrown with wild grasses and covered with tall pines and oaks. The only people who venture there are anglers - cove teeming with perch and pike. One cold December day in 2000, three friends łowiło fish there. One of them noticed something floating in the water at the shore. First he thought it was a log, but when he came closer, he saw hair ... A psychological thriller inspired by David Grann article reproduced in the 2008 New Yorker film about the murder of a businessman, the details of which coincide with the descriptions of a book."
"True Crimes" is set to premiere in 2017 but so far no release date or US distributor have been announced.
