Jim Carrey Posing for PETA
01 Apr 2012 By Lucas Allen (Web correspondent)
According to Hollywood Reporter, Jim Carrey has signed on to PETA (People Ethical Treatment of Animals) to do an upcoming ad. He will join other celebs like Hugh Jackman and Eva Longoria to pose naked for the organization’s mission to stop the mistreatment of animals in America.
When being asked about doing the ad, he said to one interviewer, "I too love animals. Yes I was famous for playing "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and the character’s humorous love for the animal kingdom. But when it comes to the serious reality, these animals deserve better than being slaughtered for both meat and clothing. It’s time we take a stand and help the future of our animal friends."
He went on to say, "It's always fun working with animals like dogs and birds, but I want to take that fun and use it to help a cause. It would mean a lot to both the public and the animal world."
The ad featuring Jim Carrey is scheduled to be released later in April.
