Dry season ahead?
10 Jan 2000

According to a statement Jim Carrey has done during the "Man on the Moon" press junket, a dry season seems to be shaping up. When asked what was next on his schedule after "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," Carrey replied "I'm looking forward to getting out of America's face for a while after the Grinch. Even the most interesting person can become old hat if he's always there. So, I like to take time off and live a life and do that and maybe work in construction."

In another casting-related piece of info, MSNBC reports that New Line intends to do a follow-up to Jim Carrey's masterpiece "The Mask", with or without Carrey. When asked about this, Jim Carrey's PR confirmed that in fact he is not interested in starring in the sequel. The buzz factory has it also that Victoria "Posh Spice" Adams Beckman is being considered for playing the love interest in the movie.

-- With a big Spank You to Steven Wishnack and to Holly Williams for the info.
