Rare Carrey-interview from City Lights (1984)

A very rare and interesting interview of Jim Carrey was uploaded recently on YouTube. Appearance on the Canadian TV Show ‘City Lights’ hosted by Brian Linehan in 1984. Jim was just 22 years old that time and a struggling comedian.
He was asked about his experience working with Rodney Dangerfield. Jim explained that he was very thrilled to be discovered by him and knew that something good have finally started in his career.
Dangerfield gave him a chance to do an opening act for his show and Jim considered it as one of his biggest break. He further said that whenever he was doing a stand up act Dangerfield always praised him, especially when he made faces and elbowed people sitting next to him saying "look at the faces he is making...funny, isn’t it?"
The next question Jim was asked about his family, especially his father Percy Carrey. Jim said that he is a great guy, funny and his inspiration to become a comedian. He always used to encourage him to follow his dreams.
Further, he was asked about his career and what movies he has done and will be doing in future. Jim mentioned "Finders Keepers" which was a Canadian movie.
