It's not that simple to me. When I think in 'Best' terms, I'd say...
1. The Truman Show (it's a masterpiece that feeds endless discussions)
2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (It's simply one of the best scripts of the past 10 years en the vision of Gondry is, well, outstanding)
3. Man on the Moon (Not only the greatest tribute imaginable for Andy Kaufman, but also an amazingly good in telling who he was by not really telling it)
When I think in favourite and best comedic terms...
(besides the ones above, because 'movies' is what I live and do.)
1. Ace Ventura PD (because of the fact it's simply unique. It's Carrey pulling the biggest Carrey his life. You never know what to expect)
2. Liar Liar (There aren't a lot of actors that can lift up a not so inspired script to a whole new, maybe even the highest comedic leven, by using there improvisation and imagination. He made this a Jim Carrey Comedy in stead off a comedy starring Jim Carrey. Legendary performance!)
3. Me, myself & Irene (maybe not the funniest, but, it's the most well-acted comedic role I saw in all my life. Carrey is doing something nobody has ever done before. He actually IS two persons that talk to eachother and are funny at the same time, he is two persons fisycly and in his mind. you know that by hearing him and looking at him. Amazingly strong performance for a simple comedic flick like that. Unseen!)
*sorry for the bad english.
