Need help with a project idea....

hi everyone......i need a little bit of help here......my little sister has an artifact project she has to do for school.....her teacher wants her to make something out of natural resources(rocks, sticks, tule rushes, animal skins, branches, grasses, bones, shells, feathers, etc.)......just those....she can't use anything man made.....the only problem is my mom, my sister and I can't think of anything to make....her teacher gave a list of things she could make:

tools, weapons, jewelry, miniature clothes or houses, kitchen utensils, hunting weapons, baskets, bowls, shoes, artwork, pouches, toys, boats, mats, instruments, games, etc.

if u guys and gals can help us out and think of something that would be great. if anyone thinks of something please give a description on how to make it.

Remember we can't use anything that is man made to help to make it.

Maybe a cup and a bowl made out of a gord. With Halloween right around the corner you can probably find them anywhere. All you have to do it cut it 1/2 and core it out. You may have to put some kind of finish on it so it does not rot. Or you can make a leaf collage.

I find it surprizing her teacher put weapons on that list... is that something you really want kids to create??

Your sister might do something with pressed flowers, it is easy to do and remains nice.

If the shells have holes in them she could string them on the grasses and make a necklace....we strung them on a christmas tree for decorations in Florida one Christmas....

A miniature mat should be possible...it would have loose ends though.
