I have had records all my life so I do not know which one was my first.

I loved The B 52's, The Police, and David Bowie when I was younger. matter of a fact I bought the first B 52's album back in 1978.

Hehe, mine was Backstreet Boys - Backstreet's Back, LOL. I can't believe I was once obsessed with them. Oddly, I would still like them if they didn't make a comeback.

My mom (yes, mom) was a David Bowie impersonator when I was growing up. Have I mentioned that before? I HATED it!!!!! I'm a huge Bowie fan now though, mostly his stuff prior to "Let's Dance", like Alladin Sane, Hunky Dory, etc.

The first album I bought on my own was "Beastie Boys - Licenced to Ill", against my parent's wishes. It's funny how that album was "against my parent's wishes" when you listen to the stuff that's played on the radio these days! My real first album I won from a radio station by telling a stupid joke on the air. The album was "Kool Mo Dee - How Ya Like Me Now" Yes, it was an album, not a CD. The joke was: "What do you call a cow that had an abortion?" Answer: "De-calfinated". I don't think it was funny at all, but I had just heard it and was desperate to win something. LOL - We didn't have CD's when I was in Junior High school. Wow, I feel so old! I remember using a CD for the first time when I was 18...I was so scared I would mess something up!

GEEK INDICATION ALERT!!!

I bought one of those KTel records off the TV because it had Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton singing, "Islands in the Stream".

Oh no. Now I have an earworm of "Islands in the Stream"!! HELP!
