"My Date with Drew"OK, this has nothing to do with JC...or at least that's how it seems. However, this is an inspirational documentary that I have gone to see THREE times! I've never gone to see a movie more than once. Please do yourself a favor and go to the website www.mydatewithdrew.com and watch the trailer. You can also watch the first 10 minutes of the film there. This guy's dream was to meet Drew Barrymore...since he was 10. At the time of the documentary he was 27. It's not about Drew, it's about having a dream and making it come true. It's about making things happen for yourself. This guy is the most honest, authentic guy I've seen on screen...I didn't know there were any "authentic" men left in Los Angeles! Please check it out. Trust me...you won't be dissapointed. It's a very small film (made with only $1100) so it helps to spread the word like this for further success. I met with the makers of the film tonight (including Brian who had the dream) and they are about the nicest, most genuine people I've ever met. I would love to see their film become a huge success. So, if you've ever had a dream to meet someone (JC) or to do something incredible, you've got to see this. If you are a child at heart (like me) you must see it more than once! When you do see it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

That's hilarious. Actually, I made T-Shirts that say www.mydatewithdrew.com to wear when I go on stage so that people will go to the site. Just yesterday, my writing partner said, "You should put a photo of Drew Carrey on the back!". That would have been hilarious. Then when I met up with the people last night I could have been wearing the shirt, saying, "Oh, I must be at the wrong place!". Profound words are not clever. The movie does look funny. I'm guessing he did end up meeting or dating her!
But another free video next to it had a greater impact on me. The one about Timothy Treadwell eaten by a grizzly. I felt so bad, but more than that I felt mortally scared. I checked all doors repeatedly to make sure they were locked.
Geez, man! Where do you live that you have to check the doors for Grizzlies? That would freak me out.
Now I feel quite safe in my little Los Angeles home with the "Ghetto Bird" flying over head (for those of you who aren't familiar with the term "Ghetto Bird"...it's the police helicoptor...usually used when chasing a criminal while he jumps fences and hides in people's back yards and such). Profound words are not clever. Clever words are not profound. -Verse 81 of the Tao Te Ching
