How come i'm missing a scene on my Ace Ventura 1 DVD?

Postby GeeJee » Fri Jan 21, 2005 4:00 pm

Hi all!

I was introduced to Ace Ventura when it was broadcasted on dutch TV a while ago. I decided to buy the movie, but it wasn't available at that time. When all these DVD's were released, Ace was amongst them. I bought one of those, but realised it was missing the scene with Heinz Kitzvelvet... I bought even two different releases (with different ref.numbers) but they still don't have this scene...

I mean this scene:
Ace is in the tank and the press arrives. Rodger tries to distract them.
Ace "How can I work with all the shoutink!"
Press "Who's he?"
Ace "Heinz Kitzvelvet, ze traineur of dolphins"

etc..

I want THAT on my dvd too... :)

Anyone out there who can tell me what particular release I need?

Thanks in advance..

if im not mistaken i think that the extra footage is in only dvds and vhs's in north america because i looked on ebay and the ones from other countries dont have that thing that says that.

Hmmm.. so I seem to need a special edition DVD with extra footage..

I asked at my local record store, but they can't order any special editions. Can anyone of you commend me a good online webstore selling these? Or does this site has it's own merchandise section selling them..?

I can't remember that scene but perhaps I have seen it. I know another similar case. In "Dumb and Dumber" on TV there was not the scene in which Lloyd speaks with the old woman who steals his things after that nearly at the beginning but when it came another time the scene was there. It is also on my DVD.
