and

i luved the interview & some on my fave Jim quotes where:

Shopping for Jim Carrey seems to lead to a series of unfortunate presents.

"I'm the toughest person in the world to have on your holiday list," Carrey murmurs in his most normal and apologetic tone.

"Just a T-shirt is a great gift," Carrey says while holding court in his suite at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. "But around two weeks before Christmas, my family starts going, 'Oh, no, it's Jim, so it must be something spectacular. We know! Let's get him a vintage Flintstones shirt because it's one of a kind."

"Olaf is a f-----," Carrey says, and catches himself. "Or you could write for the kids reading this article that Uncle Jim said, 'That Count Olaf is just not a nice person.'"

"The strange thing is that Count Olaf looks a lot like my own dad," Carrey says. "In fact, I usually put a little dad-ism in every role as a wink to my father. But with this one, the family has said to me, 'Jim, dude, you're really scaring us.'"

Even so, Carrey shaved his head to appear more Olaf-like. "I did have a childlike fascination with how my head would look. You start to wonder about the shape of your skull.

"Look, I grew up on 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,'" Carrey says.

Kids today still feel a bit alone in the world. I feel that way myself.

"Of course, that's because I've never grown up," he says with a sad smile.

Carrey stops, clears his throat and confesses, "My father is huge in my heart."

As for his personal life, he seems to be going it alone these days. The father of a teenager, he says, "Sure, I'd love to have more children. That is if I get in a relationship. But I like those little humans that look sort of like me. I like them a lot."
