Tips for Meeting Jim

Postby YesGirl » Sat Jun 22, 2013 3:28 am

Hey y'all! Ok, so as we know the sequel to Dumb and Dumber is back on (yay!). I wanted to know about any tips y'all have about meeting Jim while he's on the movie set.
I know it's possible because I've read fan stories (on here) and seen fan photos with him on the set (most recently from Anchorman 2!) He's filming it in Atlanta in August so I'm going to try to be back in town from school to steal at least a glance (hopefully a meeting though!)

Any and all advice is welcome :)

Be careful about who you get your info from about time dates and locations. The day before Grown ups Two filmed on my street we asked the security guards what times they were filming the next day and they lied to us. They like to throw us off cause the less fans on the sight the better it is for them. You may also need to do a lot of waiting cause there is a chance he may be filming in a house or a building when you are there which means you will need to wait till he leaves or arrives. Good luck and let us know what happens!

Be patience and polite.
If at any moment you actually see Jim from a distance, maintain the eye contact and maybe sign that you would like to approach. And do it respectfully and only if Jim is ok.
The security wont let you pass if Jim doesn't give the ok to do it.

Maybe write a big sign saying something like: "I would love 2 give u a hug! Is it fair of me to ask u 2?" - Something like that.

If they are inbetween filming scenes yell his name. Believe me you won't be the only one doing that. If he is feeling up to it he will come over to the crowd. If he isn't feeling up to it he will do what Kevin James did to us. Ignore everyone.lol

but don't take it personally if he ignores the bystanders.....he gets really focussed and into character and spends a lot of time in his trailer......he's not being a 'party pooper', he's just being a perfectionist.
