Yeah...sort of. I tried saying yes to most things, but its really hard to do so, especially when its something that you really don't want to do.
I'll have to get back on that though.

You telling us to keep this thread clean is quite funny. If it was Tommy or somebody else I would believe it but you? The Queen of naughty double meaning jokes is telling us to "Keep it clean"?lol

Actually when I first read the book - that was in September 2008 - almost a year ago - I started saying yes to a lot of things - trying to sort them out - of course! But just like in the book - I was saying YES to almost everything - like boring lectures at the British Library (there was free wine after the lecture though) - so it actually pays off!
then I had 2 boyfriends at the same time for like a week :)
I saw lots of new places, went to many bars/restaurants, gigs, cities - thanks to Danny Wallace and now Jim ;)
But I think that was all leading to my all time dream - coming to America!
And here I am ;)
wishing you guys the same- experience new things - one thing leads to another - a better one!
And: while saying YES - I saw Jim - twice!

P.S. another important thing: I bought the book because I knew Jim is doing a movie based on it ;))

I would say yes more, but people don't ask, so I don't have that opprotunity.

noo...( he was way too far from me - unreachable...
but it's good - because I will still have my impossible but very beautiful dream - of meeting him properly and marrying him afterwards! hahahaha

I had a dream about him the other night....

Postby Canadian Jayne » Sat Aug 01, 2009 4:22 am

He was in the movie Ripley's, as the character of Ripley
But.....was trying to light a short little old stoggie(short fat cigar)
but the more he tried to light it, the less he was able, kinda funny
since
Ripley did not smoke and probably never smoked a stoggie
I have no idea why I dreamed it.
In the dream we talked all night while he tried to light the stoggie.
Stupid eh???
Kinda funny once you think about it.
I guess I'm kinda good if I can make myself laugh about it.

Hmm...no Ripley didn't smoke but he LOVED gin. Did he light it up on his tv show set? He normally wouldn't spend too much time talking about that. I sure can't wait til he gets to making Ripley's with Chris Columbus! He'd probably say yes to a stogie if they asked him about it. It will be a fantasy/adventure film, so it's possible the stogie does not WANT to be lit! Ha ha ha!

The odd thing was....

Postby Canadian Jayne » Tue Aug 04, 2009 3:08 pm

In my dream....

It WAS like an interview,
he'd ask a question then go back to attempting to light the stogie while
waiting for a response.
as a guest, then I'd make a comment as he
was trying to light the stogie, he'd stop trying to light up
he'd reflect as the match was lit
then ask another question or comment and go back to trying to light up,
as the guest (mayself in this case) would comment and the same thing
would happen over and over. He would never get the thing lit.
Perhaps the humour is in leaving people with the question
Will he ever get that thing lit??
Perhaps you are correct, maybe the it never wants to be lit.
A little bit of humour could always be thrown in here and there.
Especially when alcohol is involved!
Sounds like it's going to be a great movie.
Looking forward to him doing this one also.
he,he,heeeeeeee
