I am a big fan of trading card games, so I am very interested in these. I saw on the official website that you can win 2 tickets to the avant premiere of Lemony Snicket in LA. All you have to do is collect the 13 cards.
My question is now, where do you find these cards? Are they in cereal or something? (I probably won't be able to collect them, so it's just out of curiosity)

I found this in the rules section of the site:

During the Challenge Period, sets of three (3) Trading Cards will be distributed one per person (while supplies last) at various events (e.g., conventions, malls, television show sets, websites, Halloween events, cyber cafes), associated with, or somehow promoting the release of, the motion picture "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" (the "Picture").

My question is : Is this Challenge only happening in the US or is it happening in every place where the film is released?

I know the handed out some of those cards at Comic-con in San Diego a couple of weeks ago, and I've seen some on eBay, but that's all I've seen so far.

Bloomingdale's is also having a couple of Lemony Snicket contests. You can go the children's department of the store to enter for 2 tickets to the LA premiere. Also, if you spend a certain amount of money, you can get tickets to a local Lemony screening.

for the girls who want to participate in the trading card contest to be at the premiere of Lemony Snicket... this is a must.... on ebay there is someone who sells the first 12 trading cards!! (only the rare n°13 isn't in there)
