I think that he would be hard to work with, because he is a bit crazy, and sometimes it can be too much... I know it'd drive me up the wall after a while! i'm not sayin it in a horrible way... i'm sure it can be a lot of fun, but I bet it gets too much for everyone! I think it's very difficult especially for a director. If the director isnt a personal friend like Tom Shadyak, because Jim kind of makes up so much himself, adds so much and directs himself to a certain extent. The directors job is decreasing in that case to the job of an editor especially since Jim is so unique in his performances-you couldn't direct some of the things he does. It must also be hard for co-stars sometimes because he steals so much of the scene and you don't want to fall into acting like him, but as an actor that's a hard thing not to do. I really think it's the chemistry that's important. If it's there Jim is open to criticism and getting directed. If he respects the person.
