Last Night Of the Proms...........

Postby fluffy » Sat Sep 10, 2005 11:09 pm

Having just endured another anual LNOTP i was just wondering if it was broadcast anywhere else worldwide??............

Are folk in America singing 'Rule Britannia' whilst wearing Union Jacks around their persons?..............Or bobbing up and down like yo-yo's to 'Pomp and Circumstance'??..............

The Royal Albert Hall is full of 'Hooray Henry's' who still think Winston Churchill is Prime Minister ............and Britain is Still the most powerful Nation on Earth......................lol

does the rest of the world get the proms ???.............or is it just our narrow blinkered programming........................(i'd rather see a U2 gig broadcast personally................lol)...........

just curious...........

They don't broadcast it here. I wish they did. I attended about 4 nights of it with my friend Finnbarr when I was at London University.

Hey fluffy, you might enjoy this silly little video. Made by a couple of Canadians in their apartment. It has nothing to do with the Proms thing you mentioned, but they do sing "Rule Britannia" inthis one.

I think it's a "quicktime" file. If your PC can't read quicktime files you can use this link
