ok i know that we are not big fans of son of the mask and Dumb and Dumberer..........but if u watch again.....u'll realize that they have some good parts in those movies...

for the D&D prequal.........the fact that we get to see how loyd chipped his tooth was pretty interesting.....and they did an ok job in retaining the D&D humor (even though some of toilet jokes were a bit much)......and plus Bob Saget was in the movie so thats a plua (i think :lol:

)

son of the mask......if u can look past jaime kennedy annyoing acting in the movie.....u can see the comedy that was loved in the first film is still there but more cartoonish (and thats not a bad thing either)........what they try to do is expand the nask universe and at some points it works (like the fact that Loki the one who created the mask was in it playing the villian)......plus the whole rivalry w/ the baby and the dog was pretty entertaining.

so there i said it, i like these films (a little).....so sue me

to rirumo: out of the two Dumb and Dumberer is the better......it retains the same humor that was in the first movie which is the best thing about the movie.

Michele: try watching it again, i might find something likeable about the movie

That's right! And the strange thing is Bruce Almighty was playing in the theatre next door, and I walked straight in there, and was blown away!

My opinion is that the the movie lacked something (Dumb and Dumberer),
Jim Carrey wasn't in it!! I never have been big on imitations... I like the real thing.

But that's not to take away from the topic here...

but it's British humour.........the winners get the plaudits and trophies and the losers get a giant wooden spoon .........but the British ethos has always been 'it's the taking part, not the winning'.........lol......(although we know that's crap really.........lol)so the Spoon is like a big joke......lol......i think it's healthy to get folk laughing at themselves.... :wink:

tis true......i wish they would do that for some of the sports here in the U.S.

but the good thing to having a giant spoon is that it makes it easier to dig holes or scoop out ice cream from a giant tub.

Son Of The Mask was painful enough to make me wanna put a needle in my eye, even with alcohol in! Dumb & Dumberer just had young Lloyd and Harry being stupid and refering to the original movie over and over again like it wasn't obvious enough. Talk about two useless movies and yes, I admit, I have seen them... I HAVE SINNED AGAINST YOU!!! (Gotta love Rev. Dr. Carl Pathos)
