Zooey Claire Deschanel (Elf) is starring opposite Jim Carrey in "Yes Man" for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow. Deschanel plays the romantic female lead, a women Carrey meets on his journeys.

She next appears in the science fiction mini-series "Tin Man", a retelling of The Wizard of Oz.

Bradley Cooper already has been cast as Carrey's best friend and Rhys Darby as Carrey's boss. Filming is expected to begin within a month.

I know she's in 'The Happening' (Shyamalan) and 'The Assassination of Jesse James' and I saw a lot of the movies on her imdb-page ... but I can't remember her from anything really.

Honestly, I thought a big Jim Carrey movie like this would have a bigger co-star. But this one is fine, I guess.

isn't she a little young for him? i thought she was something like 26.....i didn't read the book..is the part for a young woman???

My thoughts exactly ... she's only 2 years older then me. I was thinking more of a "older" woman as his wife, since you really can see Jim is aging in his latest movies.

If I were an actress and 40 something, I'd be so pissed. How come all the good parts go to actresses under 30?

Didn't Jenny say in an interview "Longevity is defined by youthfullness" ? Well, i guess she's right, and that sucks.

No wonder they all get Botox and major plastic surgery -- nobody is giving them a chance. God forbid a women get a lead role if she has a few wrinkles.

yeah it makes me uncomfortable to think them as a romantic couple....that's not good for the movie
