I can only answer your first question.<br>Malibu (where Jim has a home) was south-east of the Simi Valley fires. I lived in Thousand Oaks-Simi Valley area for 5 years with my Mom after my parents divorced (this was years ago). I'm sure that he smelled the smoke and had a brown sky.<br>I now live in Glendora, which is farther east near San Dimas and Pomona. We got alot of smoke from the San Bernardino fire, especially when Lake Arrowhead was on fire- so I went outside as little as possible.<br>It was bad for the state because we also had two other uncontrollable fires in San Diego and Santa Clarita(central California). It's cold now, has been raining, and the sky is clear-so they must be out.<br>Alot of homes were lost and about a dozen people died. I can't answer your first question about the fires never having been there...it must be pretty frightening and I really feel for the guys on Site who live there. I've seen a report about the Marathon as a well-known rapper was taking part(I can't remember which one!). There was no mention of Jim..so either he didn't take part or know one recognised him with his bald head!!! <p></p><i></i>
