Karaoke

Postby carreyd away » Wed Jul 28, 2004 2:22 am

He said once on a talk show (I can't remember which one) that he had this amazing sound system and he and his daughter dance around and sing at the top of their lungs and scare the neighbors. He also mentioned (I think on Jonathan Ross) that he had karaoke parties.

clears throat ** Ahemm**

I've heard Courtney Cox Arquette say that Jim goes to her and David's kareoke parties and likes to sing American Pie. :) She said that on Leno once!

He also sang in George Martin Beatles tribute CD... he sang "I am the Walrus"... a very interesting rendition indeed.

YES, I think Jim would be great in a musical comedy!

Postby Canadian Jayne » Wed Jul 28, 2004 9:02 pm

What about: Little Shop of Horrors  or Pirate of Penzance  or
What?
What musical would Jim be great at?
What about The Sound of Music and doing the Puppet sequence
I was listening last night to some of Andrew Lloyd Webers Stuff
what about that?
What NEW musical would he be great at?
What about one about mermaids & sirens etc. any ideas?
How about a mermaid smiley with a wiggly tail?
Possible???

That's kind of funny you should ask for a mermaid smiley cause i was just on Ebay and found the mermaid tail Jim wore in Rolling Stone magazine.

Hey! Maybe Jim could play Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid. That would be cool. But I don't remember if Prince Eric sings or not but it would be cool if Jim did a broadway musical. I would be sure to get tickets for that.

Here is a Mermaid smiley

Jim on Broadway!

Postby asiebarth » Thu Jul 29, 2004 2:14 am

Yes, I agree that Jim in a musical or doing anything on Broadway would be really awesome! I've always wanted to see him to do a Broadway show! From his earlier stand-up stuff we already know that he is great on stage!

In response to an earlier post, I have that George Martin CD that he sings on since I am also a huge Beatles fan! His rendition of "I am the Walrus" was so creative and funny!!
