Jim's Teenage Years

I have been informed that I am living in the townhouse that Jim and his parents lived in when he was a teen, in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. My kids have also told me that he attended Aldershot High School for the year that he resided here. I saw in a celebrity profile show where he did attend Aldershot High-they even showed his teacher.

If you look in a copy of the book "The Joker is Wild" by Martin Knelman, there is a picture of the house that the Carrey's lived in. The house is on Plains Road in Burlington. It could very well be the same house.

Jim attended St. Francis Xavier Separate School and then Aldershot High. A memorable teacher of his from St. Francis was Lucy Dervaitis (Belvedere). She used to let Jim do a comedy routine at the end of class so he wasn't so disruptive during the day. The picture on the celebrity profile is probably of Jim, his teacher Lucy, and his classmates in Grade 7 at St. Francis Xavier.

I went to a Catholic primary school too!
I hated it when the nuns would grab you by the back of the neck!

Only got the strap once, thank goodness!
